The Museum of the Cherokee Indian opened in 1948 and moved in 1976 to its current location. Its exhibit was totally renovated in 1998, with a 12,000 square foot addition. It opens daily at 9 a.m. except on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Admission is $9 for adults, $6 for children (ages 6-13), and free for children under 6.
