Poplar Grove Plantation-Wilmington, New Hanover

Poplar grove is one of the oldest peanut plantations in North Carolina, located just north of Wilmington, North Carolina. Visit here and you will see the old house (built in 1850), a blacksmith shop, basket weavers, and many other things. You can see the dye gardens for the yarn weavers, and maybe (in the summer) see them dye the yarn. While there, make sure to go on the nature trail. The views are beautiful in summertime especially.
